My name is Ryan Kingston, Hotel Director. Greetings from aboard Celebrity Infinity as we head towards Dry Dock in Freeport, Grand Bahamas for the Solsticizing of our beautiful ship. Over the past two years, I have had the sincere pleasure of working for the finest cruise line in the world — Celebrity. During that time, I was on board Celebrity Constellation when she went through a similar transformation last May in Hamburg, Germany. The success of Constellation and the positive feedback from our guests continues to be overwhelming. As well, it has set the stage for the grandest revitalization in our fleet; Infinity 2011.
These days, I call Infinity my home away from home, and I can’t even describe how excited I am to bring this amazing project to life for you-our valued guests. Our guests always rave about the Solstice Class ships and all the wonderful entertainment and dining venues that are available. Of course, it gives me great pleasure to share with you the scope of this project, and get you excited to enjoy Solstice Class venues and amenities on board a Millennium Class ship. Many of you frequent guests on Infinity can’t wait; because, it is the best of both worlds for you. The ship you”ll love in a Modern Luxury environment!
Today, we are getting Infinity prepared to set sail from San Diego to Ft. Lauderdale for her final voyage as she was originally designed, #399. As we move forward, I will share first hand experiences about the voyage, the size and details of a project of this magnitude, and many stories and photographs of what it takes to bring all this to fruition.
Please share the experience with us and follow our blog. One thing is for sure, it will be an incredible journey!
Next week I will highlight the AquaClass® staterooms and our exclusive restaurant, Blu. Hope to see you back here soon.
